The Times They Are a-Changin'

When I started this blog, over 2 years ago, I wanted it to serve a couple different purposes. I wanted:

  • An outlet to share things I was already doing, like baking and making things,
  • A way for me to share bits about my life, and
  • A way to push myself out of my comfort zone when it comes to both of those things, as well as photography.

I felt like I wanted a teeny-tiny, micro piece of this internet world to share with my friends and family and have something to look back on 10 years from now. I felt like I had a story to tell, maybe not the most interesting story out there, but a story nonetheless. I've always had a burning part of me that needs inspiration and creativity, and this blog has helped me touch into that part of myself.

But like most things in life, you can't predict the future. Things change, feelings change, life moves on. You can try your hardest to map out the rest of your life, but a wrench is bound to be thrown right into the middle of that plan. For me, this isn't something to fret about. I embrace it and move on. Change is a great, rejuvenating thing; it can spark something in you and make you feel in control of your life again. Or, at least that's how I feel about it.

What I'm getting at here is my life has changed a bit since I started this blog. And though I don't feel the need to go into details here, I do feel a responsibility to let you know that things might start to look a bit different. The baking and DIYs will remain, hopefully the flea market adventures will also continue, but the glimpses into my life might look a bit different and more frequent. Deep down, this blog has always been about me and my life, and celebrating all the little things about my life that make it special.

Things might get a little personal over here, but I want this blog to in some ways mirror what's going on in my life. I'm hoping this change in the way I think about this blog will help me to be inspired again. I may only be one lady living in the suburbs, but I have a lot of thoughts and feelings and inspirations that I'd love to share with you.
