One of the best things about my full-time job is that it supplies me the $$$ and vacation time to be able to take time away from work. I like my job, but it's maybe not my complete "dream job" so I'm thrilled to get away when I can. Plus, since I've been a single lady, I've been trying to run with the opportunities that I have and travel as much as possible. So I thought I would take a minute and talk about the upcoming trips I've planned.
March: Two of my lady friends and I are road tripping to Pigeon Forge, TN, and go to Dollywood! I've wanted to go to Dollywood and Tennessee in general for a few years now and I'm stoked to spend some lady time driving south. We rented an Airbnb Lincoln-log style cabin with a hot tub in the Smoky Mountains. We're planning to stop at a bunch of silly roadside attractions and eating at campy restaurants. I plan on wearing cowboy boots the entire time.
April: I'll be flying to Miami for work to attend a social media conference for professionals in higher education. This is the second time I've attended and since I'm the primary person in charge of social media at my job, I'm excited to be inspired and learn more about analytics. That sounded very nerdy and uninteresting.
May: Spending a long weekend in New Orleans to visit one of my most beloved friend from college. She's one of the best humans I know. She inspires me and pushes me to be a stronger person. Plus, she'll be skating in a roller derby bout and I'm thrilled to be able to cheer her on. Also, beignets. And a lot of laughing.
Hopefully more trips to plan once we get into summer. I'm itching to get moving.
