So it's been a few weeks since I returned from my Dollywood/Tennessee roadtrip, and I'm just getting around to pulling together some of my favorite photos from the trip. As excited as I was, I will admit I was a bit apprehensive going into it. We had kind of planned it on a whim; I'd never been on a roadtrip before; besides Dollywood, we didn't really know what to expect out of Pigeon Forge, TN; and anytime three girls spend 10 hours driving in a car together, it's bound to lead to some disagreements. But this trip was perfect. The weather was great, everything we did was great, we got along the whole time, and made some fantastic memories.
On the way down, we stopped at Luray Caverns, and then drove the Skyline Drive through Shenandoah National Park. We stopped at some REALLY creepy place that seemed like a graveyard for unused fiberglass sculptures (similar to what you would find at a bad mini-golf course) and then stumbled upon this self-storage business that was FILLED with vintage signs and cars, which was pretty fantastic. We rented an adorable cabin through airbnb with a hot tub that was darling. Dollywood was a blast, we found a Lumberjack Feud dinner theater that was a riot, and did some ziplining at Smoky Mountain Ziplines before heading back to PA. All in all, we ate terribly, rode rollercoasters, went to a bunch of bars, played pool, danced like white girls, and laughed and laughed and laughed. Couldn't have asked for a better trip.
