DIY: Glitter Star Cupcake Toppers

So Christmas has come and gone, but the party season hasn't! New Years is right around the corner, and maybe you have some last minute holiday parties this weekend. Or maybe you just want to make a plate of cupcakes look even more special for your family. Either way, these toppers are festive, glittery, and very easy to throw together last minute.

You'll need glitter scrapbooking paper, bamboo skewers, glue, scissors, and tape. I would use washi tape, so they are still pretty from the back. If you don't have bamboo skewers, you could use toothpicks or popsicle sticks.

On the back of the glitter paper, draw stars and cut them out. You're going to have glitter everywhere, but just embrace it. It's better to embrace it. I cut out 3 different stars and then traced them.

If using bamboo skewers, you'll want to cut them to the size you want. Use the washi tape to attach your stars to your skewers. Bam! Done. Instant festive cupcakes.

In case you were wondering, those cupcakes are Chai Tea Cupcakes. :)
