Cocktail: Tangerine Elderflower Spritz

I thought those Funfetti Holiday Donuts would be my last post for 2016 but here we are! And with a cocktail in hand no less.

If you're anything like me, NYE is a little bit of an anxiety trigger. Living in a major city means that there are a plethora of things to do, pretty much all of them involve a pricey cover and you're not 100% sold it's going to be worth it. You want to be with friends but everyone can't agree on a spot. The stakes feel high, but really aren't high because you created those stakes in your head. So I'm currently not agreeing to anything and seeing what pans out. I'm ready to go with the flow, as long as I can do it in my new metallic boots and a fur coat.

But today I'm bringing you a quick and easy sparkling drink to ring in 2017. Tangerines, St. Germain, and a little bubbly. We need a simple drink for NYE.

Tangerine Elderflower Spritz

Makes one drink

2 oz freshly squeezed tangerine juice
3 oz prosecco or champagne
1 oz St. Germain
small slices of tangerine, optional

This drink is simple: In a coupe (or other 5-6 oz glass), add tangerine juice and St. Germain and top with prosecco or champagne. Garnish with a slice of tangerine. Cheers!
