It's Been a While....

Oh hey guys! It's been quite a little while since I've updated you on my little life. A lot has been going on. A lot of stress. A lot of happy feelings. Only one mini meltdown.

I decided I needed a change. A big change. So I up and moved to a house in Philadelphia where I'm just beginning to get my things unpacked and house put together. It's a big change and even though it's been hard on me, I know it's the right choice. I'm out of my comfort zone. I'm in a completely new environment. I'm closer to my friends and now have an entire house to myself with space to spread out and room for friend's to stay the night. It's still a little overwhelming at the moment, but I'm figuring things out and will hopefully have some new content for you all soon. <3

Around Here in October

Apartment life has been lovely lately. The quilt of my dreams came in the mail and I'm thrilled with it. I've got art on the walls and DIYs in my brain. I figured out how to work my heat. Cats are happy with the giant open windows and things to watch. My custom-made reclaimed wood desk was delivered by my amazingly talented and great friends Katie and Micah of Steel Tape (planning on writing a whole post about that, don't you worry.) Art that has been sitting on my bar because I didn't have the tools to hang it is now up. It's really starting to feel like home, and more importantly, it feels like my home.

Coming up next I'm hoping to reupholster my vanity stool, create a wall-hanging-type-thing for over my bed (which will either be completely darling or horrible), tissue paper pom poms to hang from my bedroom ceiling, shelves to hang, bedroom curtains to paint and hang, and a desk to organize and decorate. I'm still living without kitchen chairs, and am now on the hunt for a desk chair (but let's be honest, I think I need a ghost chair).

And yes, that is a Clueless quote I have framed in my bathroom.

Around Here in July

Just a little update of my apartment. Things still need to be hung on the walls. I'm still on the hunt for a few key pieces of art and some more decorative things to fill up space, but I'm trying not to rush the process. Honestly, I'm in love with this little home. It's quirky. It has huge windows and old floors. The kitchen is super kitchy, but I'm kind of in love. Overall, so happy I found this little gem. Can't wait to make some memories here.

Around Here in June

It's been a whirlwind of a weekend. Friday night we moved a ton of boxes. Saturday we moved furniture in the morning and then settled in unpacking box after box. Sunday and Monday were spent organizing and getting things away, but it's actually starting to feel like a home around here.

Tomorrow morning I'm getting on a plane to fly to New Orleans for a mini vacation/road trip with a college friend. I'm so outrageously excited to get away, have some quality lady time, and sweat my face off in NOLA. I'm thrilled for summer. It's going to be great.

PS: I got my first NatureBox in the mail today! Everything that I've tried has been freaking delicious and I'm so happy to have them with me to take on my travels!
