Let's Talk About Cats.

It's not a secret that I might be a crazy cat lady. I actually have to tell myself that our house, my office, and my wardobe cannot be 100 percent cat stuff because people will start thinking I'm nuts. As I am writing this, I'm wearing a cat blouse, there are about four kitty knick knacks, and staring at a calendar with photos of my own cats (made by my darling best friend last Christmas). Let's just say, I'm a cat enthusiast and leave it at that.

But it's so easy to fill your life with cats when people are designing such lovely feline stuff right now! Here are a few of my current favorites!

1. Meow for Measuring Cups, 2. Paul & Joe Cat Collection Blusher Sticks, 3. Picasso Cats Scarf, 4. You've Gato Call Phone Stand, 5. Cat Printed Mary Janes, 6. Animal Clothes Hangers, 7. Handmade Kitten-printed iPad case, 8. Stay Home Club T-Shirt, 9. Meow's the Time Heels in Pink.

Just a little dose of cuteness for your Saturday morning....

And yes, that's Abbey hanging out in a salad bowl.

Caturday

Just wanted to share these little kitty moments from over the past week! (I'm trying to get better at documenting little moments.)

T & Abbey have become pretty close buddies in the past few months that we've all been together. I'm pretty sure she likes him more than me, which is a little upsetting, but as long as everyone is getting along I'm happy. I'm pretty sure Audrey is only tolerating T because she has to...

Happy weekend!

Before&After: Litterbox

When T&I were planning on moving, I knew that I wanted something to hide the litterbox. In my old apartment, the litterbox was just out in the open and it always bothered me. I knew I wanted to reuse a piece of furniture to hold the box, and one day we walked out of T's old house and there was this piece of furniture sitting on the curb, waiting for the trash.

It maybe wasn't my perfect choice, but it was free and I figured if we hated it, no harm no fowl and we could start over. T did most of the work, I must say. He removed the drawers and created the door, I painted it and it looked terrible and I cried, so we picked another color and he painted it. That's the series of events usually, with big projects like this.

We've been living with it for a few months now, and we're pleased. The kitties are using it and I hide some stuff in the top drawer (the only functioning drawer). That's all we can really ask for. It's pretty and functional, my favorite.

Lately in Instagram

Things have been going along pretty well these days. Been crafting and baking away recently and all of a sudden, September is almost over. T's birthday is coming up next week and I have a full weekend ahead of me....Off to the city tonight for some Fringe shows, flea market tomorrow morning then spending the rest of the day prepping for T's party. But Sunday is my relax day.

From left: Audrey enjoying a new box; both cats on the couch; one of my fav thrift stores; sewing a pillow cover (check back for DIY!); soup, super nintendo, and a kitty; Abbey playing dead; behind our apartments; my first scarf of fall; new shoes; Audrey doing a great job of guarding some vintage sheets; our coffee table, in parts; Abbey; giant plate of snickerdoodles (check back for recipe!); first pumpkin spice latte of fall; me at work; a giant trip to the craft store; Abbey hanging out in my newly made wreath (check back for DIY!); AND applesauce cupcakes to be on the blog tomorrow! Whew...that was a lot!
